Shipping, FAQ's and Other Info

Shipping

Orb ultralight currently ships within Australia and to New Zealand only. Other overseas shipping will be available in the future.

All goods are sent via Australia Post recyclable prepaid satchels with tracking.

Shipping costs within Australia are:

$11 for a standard Australia Post satchel (4-10 business days).

$15 for an express post satchel (1-2 business days).

For orders over $150, standard shipping is free.

For orders over $200, express shipping is free.

Shipping cost to New Zealand is $18 (6+ business days) or free for orders totaling $250 or more. Note that NZ customers are responsible for all local duties and taxes.

Orb Ultralight products are shipped with zero packaging (no swing tags or boxes/bags) and are placed in a single (reusable) Ziploc bag within the satchel.

Orb Ultralight accepts no responsibility for missing goods (lost or stolen) that show as having been delivered.

Order Processing

Generally, orders will ship within two business days of order placement.

Orders cannot be changed/altered once placed.

Warranty/returns

All Orb Ultralight products come with a 2 year limited warranty against faults in workmanship and materials. 

Warranty does not cover damage from misuse, wear and tear, accidents, incorrect care or storage. My products are Ultralight in nature and if treated with care and respect will last for many years.

If you do damage one of my products, get in touch as it may be repairable.

You are able to return any unused items for a refund (excluding original postage costs) within 15 days of purchase.  A 10% restocking fee will be charged on all retuned goods.

Note: All returns must first be approved by Orb Ultralight before posting back and return post is at the buyers expense.

 FAQ

Do you ship outside Australia?

Overseas shipping is only available to New Zealand. Shipping to other countries will become available at some future time.

Do you do custom work?

I don't take on custom work as it is quite time consuming and I also have a full time job outside of Orb Ultralight.

An item I want is out of stock. How long until it will available?

I try to keep everything in stock but there are times when certain items won't be available either due to demand or availability of fabrics. If you are after an item that is sold out please get in touch and I'll see what I can do.

Can you make me a pack/shelter/sleeping bag?

Orb Ultralight is most definitely a UL accessory manufacturer only. I simply do not have the physical space to make larger items. I am happy to point you in the direction of many excellent local makers of these items if you are interested.

Do you ever go on sale?

Never. I don't carry a big inventory and I try to charge a reasonable price for my goods. Prices on my items are reflective of expense of materials and time taken to make them.

I don't see a phone number. Can I call you?

I have a full time job as an employee and I am unable to take calls during the day. I make Orb Ultralight products after hours. If you need to speak to me in person, please email me or DM on Instagram and we can arrange a time to talk.

How should I look after my Orb Ultralight gear?  

In Use:

Avoid naked flame, avoid abrasive/sharp surfaces wherever possible and try to keep sand/salt water away from zips.

Storage:

If your equipment has been exposed to salt water or has dirt on it, I highly recommend cleaning it before storage. Gear should be cleaned with cold water and a cloth without soap/detergents and allowed to air dry fully. Do not tumble dry.

Make sure that your gear is completely dry before long term storage.
